Junior Heroes Training

About Junior Heroes Journey

Year 5 and/or Year 6 become positive role models in school and heroes training helps them discover the skills they will need to help make a difference to themselves and other people. We initially look at influencing factors and what attributes they will need to become successful. They will gain confidence in speaking in small groups, 1:1 etc.

Outcomes

  • To provide students with opportunities to develop their communication and confidence skills.
  • To develop a team of heroes in school who are trained to mentor and support younger students
  • To enable students to reflect on what it is to be a positive role model and when and how they can be a hero
  • To enable student to reflect on their own personal journey through school and how they can support younger students

Don’t take our word for it…

“humanutopia has transformed relationships across the school. It has enabled every child to feel a valued and cared for member of the school community and it ensures that every child has a voice beyond their class room.”

– Lorraine Dolan, Headteacher, Holy Trinity & St Silas Primary School

  • Complement and bring to life existing PSHE and wellbeing in school – a chance for students to explore and experience concepts for themselves
  • Values driven culture change in school – providing a sustainable and positive framework within school for a student steered leadership programme based on values
