There are no other companies in Great Britain that do what we do because we have created and developed all our own unique courses. We are market leaders in understanding how schools work and the sometimes conflicting dynamics of school and youth cultures. We work with students of all ages from 4 - 18 and adult staff of all ages and roles. Our work is at the cutting edge of many educational, social and global agendas. At the heart of all our work is the growth and development of human beings and all our courses are unique & powerful experiences. Our track record is tried, tested and proven with many satisfied clients. We make a difference to individual lives, communities and schools. We are not fly-by-nights. We don’t just come in once and then you never see us again, will keep coming back in to your school until you tell us not to. We are known and highly regarded by organisations such as SSAT, DofE, NESTA, MOJ, NFER & Teesside University. Our work underpins academic achievement and will in time make a difference to your students’ performance.

5 steps to becoming a
humanutopia Partner School

• Our aim is to work with a partner school and to ensure sustainability, develop ownership and leave behind a legacy. Obviously this doesn’t happen over night so developing a partnership takes time and we need to ensure that the person leading the school shares the same vision as us. We only work with people-friendly, child-centered heads and principals who understand that our work is not a quick fix but a paradigm shift which needs to build momentum first. Please only contact us if this sounds like you!

• So, becoming a humanutopia partner school has many advantages, but how do you begin the process? Firstly, be clear on why you are contacting us. What is your motivation, your agenda? What are your three most desired outcomes from establishing a partnership with humanutopia? When you know this please email us at hubert@humanutopia.com or call us on 0151 342 8621 and one of our team will be ready to make a booking for a school visit.

• Our Partnership Director, Carlo Missirian will then visit your school and listen to your needs. Carlo has expertly guided many partnerships and he will determine the programme most appropriate to the needs of your school. For partnerships lasting an academic year and beyond, Carlo will expect to present to both SLT and your Governing Body to ensure they are happy with the programme and its’ outcomes.

• A service level agreement will be subsequently reached and there then follows a lead in period of between 4-6 months as your school and humanutopia prepare for the first interventions. This period of time will be determined by how many of our readiness factors are already in place. We use a very successful template to gather a group of stakeholders from the local authority, the local community and the local business world to raise awareness of the programme, its outcomes and its’ impact on the school and the wider community and to seek their support and sponsorship on different levels.

• Much of our work relies on the element of surprise and we therefore do not release too many details of what we do in our courses but we will spend some of that lead in period getting to know staff and students and learning all about the existing culture of the school and its’ community, so that by the time we are ready to run our first course, our team are aware of all the issues and totally focused on the agreed outcomes.

• Once we have run our first course, the process will then begin on helping you achieve our agreed goals. Over the next few years we will work together to help your staff and students sustain the work, take ownership over them many facts of the Heroes Journey and help create a legacy that ensures the Heroes Journey is woven into the everyday fabric of your school.
